C-Change’s Geographic Intervention Project (GIP) aims to tackle the significant economic and human burden of racial and ethnic cancer disparities in the US. Recognizing that preventable cancers and related disparities are a national tragedy, C-Change is collaborating with national and local organizations on the Mississippi Gulf Coast to create a sustainable and scalable model for addressing these issues. The GIP prioritizes implementing smoke-free policies, bridging knowledge gaps about preventative behaviors, utilizing care navigators, removing barriers to access, and improving screening resources. This collaborative effort seeks to demonstrate that combined action across sectors can effectively and efficiently reduce community health disparities related to cancer.
